When I’m at home and spending time with the kids, I just hit the multi battles and set it off to the side while we hang out. When I’m at work I’ll hit auto play and let it roll and just check it during down time. If you actually go down the rabbit hole and give it a fair shake, you will see for yourself. This game requires far more strategy and is a lot deeper than it looks on the surface. And not only from a team composition stand point, but also in how to gear each champion on the team to determine the order they go in and how to enable them to fulfill their roll on my teams the best.

What I enjoy about raid though, isn’t necessarily the game play, but rather the strategy and challenge of team building. Raid is a game I can play and enjoy while not taking too much time or attention away from my family (or my job for that matter) I can set up auto battles do what I need to do, then check back later to see if I got anything good while I was farming. Though I only work 4 days a week, I sleep in until about 3 pm on my days off so I don’t get much time with my kids. and get home from work the next day at 7:00 am. I leave my house to go to work at 3:45 pm. I think Grythion, Bommal, Borgoth, and some others were supposed to be complex fights you do on manual, except nobody fucking wants to do that 7-15 times per day, so players look for frankly kind of degenerate strategies (3 vogoths! Scyl alone in regen! Bloodshield rings and turn meter control!) that avoid having to actually think about how the fight works. For example, doom tower silver keys should just be 1 key a day that gives you 15x as much rewards. For example, building non-unkillable CB teams can be fun because you have to figure out how everything combines and interacts, even though there's no way I'm playing 50+ turns on manual four times a day.Īll that said, I would like if more parts of the game involved running something a few times on manual instead of a million times on auto.

I think strategizing how a team will work is interesting even when the actual fight will occur on auto. I like that Hydra and some Doom Tower fights call for actually using manual.
